| The first part of Sukkot was amazing!! Singing songs, eating great food, and soaking up the atmosphere of holidays in a holy land sure made the time fly.
Everyone thought Markie was an Israeli! Check out this picture of him on a bus: What do you think?
By the way, Markie and Aaron got a little lost on that bus! They got off at the wrong stop and had to walk a lot to get to the right place... as anyone who's been there knows, this is a quintessentially Israeli tourist experience.
Right before the chag (holiday) started, Markie and Aaron went to Bnei Brak (a very religious city) and walked around. It was, in Markie's words, "overwhelming!" to see so many Jews in one place, all buying and selling the Arba Minim (the 4 speices used on Sukkot -- Lulav, Etrog, Hadasim, and Aravot). They also went to Aldo ice cream and Markie got Snickers flavor which he said was the "best ice cream ever."
