Josh TaffCamp Director, Camp Avraham MosheJosh Taff, a graduate of Indiana University, has been working with the special needs community for ten years, beginning as a counselor in Camp Ramah's Tikvah program. Josh was the Rosh Edah (Division Head) for the Tikvah program in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 Josh was the Coordinator for the Ezra program which is the the Adult Vocational Program at Camp Ramah. Josh most recently taught for Vista Del Mar's Inspire Nes Gadol program, a Bar/Bat Mitzvah class for children with autism. In the summer of 2010 he served as Assistant Director of Etta Israel Center's Camp Avraham Moshe for children and adults with special needs. Josh currently is the Administrator of Etta Israel Center's Ryzman Family Group Home and will be the Director of Etta Israel Center's Camp Avraham Moshe in the summer of 2011. Leah SchachterCamp Coordinator, Camp Avraham Moshe
Leah Schachter was born and raised in Forest Hills, New York. She earned a Bachelors degree in psychology, and a Masters degree in family counseling. She has a graduate degree in diamonds, and has a successful fine jewelry business with Elibelle Designs. She was the original creator of the Leadership Program of Etta Israel in 2000, which focused on teaching high school kids how to volunteer and deal with special needs. Because Etta Israel is such an integral part of her life, she has co-chaired many fundraisers for Etta Israel’s Camp Avraham Moshe. For many years, she has entertained the group homes, and hosted Shabbatonim and Etta Israel parties. Most recently, she has taken on the responsibility of coordinating Camp Avraham Moshe, working with Josh Taff, the camp director. Leah Schachter currently lives in North Hollywood, with her fantastic musical husband, Brad, and her four adorable children.
