Manijeh NehoraiDirector of Iranian-American Community Services Division
Manijeh Nehorai has been involved in the fields of social work and special education for over 40 years. She has a Master's degree in Social Work and Marriage & Family Counseling. In Iran, Mrs. Nehorai was the Executive Director of the Social Welfare Office of Queen Farah Pahlavi (Director of the Iranian Social Welfare Department for the Queen), a post she held for 18 years. Upon moving to the U.S., she worked for Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles and taught parenting at such venues as Nessah Israel Synagogue, Valley Beth Shalom, and Maimonides Academy, among others. Since 1995, she has been the Director of Etta's Iranian-American Community Services Division.

Dr. Sara TeichmanClinical DirectorDr. Teichman has been with Etta since its founding in 1992. As a practicing psychotherapist, she also sees individuals -- children and adults -- as well as couples and families. In addition, Dr. Teichman is an instructor at Ma’alot College, Los Angeles and writes an advice column, “Ask Dr. T,” which is published bimonthly in Binah magazine. Dr. Teichman’s expertise in diagnosing and dealing with autism and other developmental disorders is an invaluable asset to Etta and the many clients who use our services. Josh Taff, a graduate of Indiana University, has been working with the special needs community for ten years, beginning as a counselor in Camp Ramah's Tikvah program. Josh was the Rosh Edah (Division Head) for the Tikvah program in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 Josh was the Coordinator for the Ezra program which is the the Adult Vocational Program at Camp Ramah. Josh most recently taught for Vista Del Mar's Inspire Nes Gadol program, a Bar/Bat Mitzvah class for children with autism. In the summer of 2010 he served as Assistant Director of Etta Israel Center's Camp Avraham Moshe for children and adults with special needs. Josh currently is the Administrator of Etta Israel Center's Ryzman Family Group Home and will be the Director of Etta Israel Center's Camp Avraham Moshe in the summer of 2011. Josh resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
Eric YellinExecutive CoordinatorEric holds a B.S. in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College. He has an extensive background in advertising and financial services, with a proven track record of successful origination, strategic planning, and sales customization. Eric is a winner of numerous company awards. He is also an expert in various computer and online technologies. At Etta, Eric handles IT, special projects, and logistics. Vanessa PosterConsultant Vanessa Poster has worked with Etta for nearly 15 years, first as a fundraising consultant and more recently as Director of Development. With more than 25 years of experience in management and fundraising, Vanessa provides strategic direction, program development, grant writing and support for major gift solicitations. Vanessa has worked with more than 30 organizations including 14 capital and/or annual campaigns raising from $5M to $15M. Among her many other clients are Leo Baeck Temple, Temple Beth Am and South Bay Free Clinic. Vanessa is also a locally elected official in Redondo Beach, serving as President Pro Tem at the Beach Cities Health District.

Scott Saliman has served as a Senior Advisor to Etta on finance, strategic and operating matters since 2004. His broader practice is focused on helping social enterprises become sustainable, high-impact organizations. Prior clients include the Charles & Helen Schwab Foundation (San Mateo, California), Project Zero at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education (Cambridge, Massachusetts), Builders of Jewish Education (Los Angeles), and others. Prior to advising social enterprises, Mr. Saliman worked in the investment field, where he served as a Vice President of Goldman, Sachs & Co. (San Francisco, New York, London) and founded an institutional investment advisory firm (San Francisco) specializing in Asian debt-equity hybrid securities. He has a Masters in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley.
Shannon Pournazarian joined the Etta team as Assistant Director of Development in October 2012. Her responsibilities include leading fundraising efforts through donor cultivation and stewardship, government advocacy and the establishment of corporate partnerships. Shannon’s leadership within the Jewish nonprofit community began at UCLA as Co-President of Hillel and continues now as co-president of the Hillel Young Alumni Network. She was also a founding member of the Young Alumni Philanthropists of Hillel at UCLA. In 2012, Shannon worked with The Clinton Foundation in conjunction with her graduate capstone project, based on the women’s economic empowerment initiative. Shannon received her B.A. from UCLA in Communication Studies, Summa Cum Laude, and completed her Masters in Public Administration at USC in 2012.
Meira Feinman became Assistant Director of Marketing in January 2013. Meira's background is in print and digital publishing, and she continues to write children's magazine articles in her spare time. Her responsibilities at Etta are marketing, branding, PR and communication activities for all Etta departments. Meira received her B.A. from UCLA in English Literature, Summa Cum Laude, and attended the Denver Publishing Institute.
