Social & Recreational Programs

ETTA is a strong proponent of education and learning, and has a long history of supporting professionals in the field, including teachers, psychologists, social workers and more, throughout the Los Angeles area.

ETTA has partnered with many local schools to provide joint and inclusive programs for clients and students. For example, ETTA's Isak Boruchin Adult Day Program runs the canteens at two local high schools.

ETTA also offers various educational classes, workshops and training throughout the year, for people with disabilities, their families, professionals, and the general public, to increase skills, awareness and understanding. To learn more about ETTA’s concierge service Transitions, click here.

Social Programming

Throughout the year, ETTA provides individuals with various intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome, and their families, as well as the community at large, with opportunities to enjoy fun, social opportunities that offer inclusion into the greater Los Angeles community, build relationships and learn new skills.

As one client said after attending a weekend retreat: “Thank you for including me this weekend. It was a totally new experience for me. I didn’t know what to expect, and I was nervous. Everyone made me feel very welcome after the speech I made, which made me feel good. I enjoyed meeting new people, and I would like to participate again. I have wanted to be part of a group, but it has been hard to find places to fit in. Please thank the people at ETTA and the counselors who made this program so nice.”

From holiday parties to creative arts, from physical fitness outings to game nights, these events are designed to foster joy, friendship, inclusion, and community awareness.
